For as the heavens are high

above the earth,

So great is His mercy toward

those who fear Him;

When I was a little girl,

I used to look up into the sky at night

and feel so small.

It seemed so very far away...

so high...

so distant...

I could never measure its height,

nor its depth.

It was immense,

and even at such a young age,

I knew this with

feeling.

So...

when I read this verse,

it is amazing to me.

So great is His

mercy...
